Broadway Food Palace
About This Spot
Stepping into Broadway Food Palace is like entering a small corner of Eastern Europe right in the heart of Fair Lawn. The air carries the comforting mingling scents of smoked meats, fresh dairy, and freshly baked pastries, inviting you to slow down and explore at your own pace. This is a place that feels familiar yet discovery-rich, where the shelves brim quietly with ingredients and treats collected from homes far beyond these New Jersey streets.
The space hums with a warm, unhurried energy that welcomes both those returning for their favorite flavors and newcomers eager to taste something different. It’s the kind of local grocery and deli where the attention isn’t just on products, but on the shared stories behind them. Whether you pause by the deli counter to talk about the day's fresh selections or browse through rows of pickles and cured delights, there’s a genuine friendliness that makes you feel seen and at ease.
Visitors find themselves drawn not only to the authentic foods that recall family traditions and cultural memories but to the human connection that lingers in the air—staff who remember names, customers who want to share a little history behind their choices, and a small community built around a love of real, thoughtfully sourced ingredients. This is a place where a simple grocery run can turn into an intimate, flavorful journey through a vibrant culinary heritage.

Well stocked. Prices are competitive. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere. A decent selection of homecooked dishes and an ample spectrum of cakes and pastries.

Great place to get some Eastern European foods. Excellent deli department. Always fresh dairy products

I’ve come here with my boyfriend who’s Estonian. He grew up with most of the food and treats from this market. He brought me here to try a bit of his culture and we have gone back multiple times! It’s a bit pricey but it is worth it. Staff is always kind and even though I’m not of Slavic descent they always make me feel welcomed. Love it!

Wonderful selections of Russian and Eastern European food, knowledgeable and kind staff. They also have incredible deli meats! We pick up sliced ham and sausages all the time.

Minus 1 star because they sell expired dry goods. Not a big deal for something like chocolate, but makes you wonder how fresh other items are. Overall, good Russian food store in the area. Prices are competitive and for the most part are better than Netcost on RT4. They have all the essentials including pickles, kapusta, herring, pelmeni, Russian desserts, lots of dairy options and a good amount of prepared food options.

4 stars because their prices are rather high but their service is great! The cashier lady tonight was nice and packed my products with care. This is weird for me because growing up in Brooklyn respect was hard to find in the Russian communities. And where I there is only one Russian store and is always out of the way. So this is convenient going home from work even if I have to take two trains back. Hope the food is just as good as the service.

New owners. I wish they still sold boxes of Prince Polo wafers. I gave my chiropractor's office a box of plain and a box of hazelnut, and they LOVED it!!! Otherwise, it's a great store for homemade Russian food.
